Bizim Eller carried out its iftar-meal project for those fasting in Gaza during Ramadan, providing ready meals to the families and individuals most in need and helping them secure their daily iftar table.
During the project, more than 3,000 iftar meals were distributed across a number of areas, with priority given to families facing difficult economic and humanitarian conditions,
ensuring the meals reached beneficiaries before iftar time.
One beneficiary mother said:
“In Ramadan we always hope to gather around a table with enough for everyone. When the meals arrived, I felt that someone was sharing this month with us and easing part of the responsibility.”
At one distribution site, Ahmad, a beneficiary, said:
“It may be one meal, but it arrived at exactly the right time. I was overjoyed to bring it back to my family, because we were able to break our fast together without worrying about what to put on the table.”
The project helped ease part of the daily burden on beneficiary families, meeting a direct food need during Ramadan and allowing families to direct part of their limited resources to other essential needs.
One beneficiary said:
“What made me happiest was my children’s joy when they saw the food. We all sat waiting for the call to prayer — it was a beautiful moment I won’t forget.”
The iftar project falls within Bizim Eller’s programs aimed at responding to direct humanitarian needs in Gaza during Ramadan and delivering food aid to the families who need it, at the right time.
With more than 3,000 iftar meals distributed, the help reached thousands of beneficiaries, and every meal became a calmer, more stable iftar moment for a family that needed it.
